The Mitsubishi First Responders program, which began back in 2015 as a way to thank first responders with a $500 rebate, has recently expanded to allow more workers in the healthcare profession access to the program. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed a lot for so many people and their businesses, so Mitsubishi decided to do a few things to make it easier to buy a new vehicle.
This list includes the first responders that were included in the original program. Those who are actively employed in these positions are still included in the Healthcare Heroes program.
After the worldwide impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the following professions have been added. Most of the positions relate to those who work in hospitals and have likely been working much harder because of the virus outbreak.
The Healthcare Heroes Program is compatible with a few other programs, but not all of them. Specifically, the recent Financial Payment Deferment program for existing Mitsubishi owners and the similar Financial Deferment program for the purchase of new vehicles can be combined with the $500 rebate. Any Canadian can qualify for the financial deferment programs, so it makes it easier for the workers listed above to get a Mitsubishi vehicle.
